This was our first attempt to take it outside. My neighbor (the guy with the ponytail in front) suggested that I could show the video on the side of the barn instead of inside on my surplus screen. So I cleaned up the yard and ran a wire over from the power pole that I salvaged from a water well pump and we were in business. I ordered a 500 watt Sony off of E-bay and used my band's PA for speakers. 15'' Eons for sub and center. 12 JBL floor monitors for the four surround speakers. It sounded great even though my new(used) amplifier was missing the right rear channel. I'm going to have to send it back. bummer. Anyway I have since ordered another one from some guy here in Texas that said he hardly ever used it. I hope it works. We'll get her going one way or another. Thanks for the wonderful resource that you are providing here to all us techno geeks who love to tinker.

Congrats bobtom and thanks for posting a pic!  Stretch some fabric across that barn and you're off to the races.

You nailed it on the beer...   Grin

Good luck with the new receiver.

i don't think there is an end to upgrading, no matter how many  lumens you have, no matter how many watts you have, no matter how big your screen is there is always a reason to upgrade.

if i win the Cash 5 lottery prize this evening i'll show everyone what upgrading really is... the prize is $1.8 million  Grin
