I need to think about some decorations for my backyard drive-in party. I'm using four Ikea post candles for low level lighting at the edges of the yard, and I was thinking of distributing lightsticks to the kids.

What kind of decorating outside would be appropriate to fill-in the drive-in theme? -Gary

We use dimmers on the soffit lights on the deck, a lot of Tiki torches throughout the yard, and probably 15 or so of those little solor yard lights.  Pretty much enough to light things we don't want anyone to trip over if they wander off too far (our backyard is a little over an acre).  We often have a bon fire going.  As far as decorations, are concerned, we don't do much.  Sometimes it's a birthday or softball party and there are decorations related to that event but that's about it.

I did see where one guy made a bunch of big Monsters Inc. cutouts for his yard as part of a party he did, and I'll bet the kids loved them.
