The intel inflatable sofa (BYT edition) is on sale now at Kmarts!

Edit: just bought one. This is not the Intec sofa! It's a knock off version. Main difference is that this one doesn't have cup holders. Will be inflating this soon to check out any other differences.

its just as comfortable as the intec version (i have that one too). the loss of the cupholders is inconsequential. highly recommend putting a bedsheet on top of it just in case of any spills. it feels like velour

doubt its on sale still since this is from june.. but what store is this?  I would rather buy one locally and return if needed as reviews on Amazon are not in Intecs favor..

The kids just popped my 2 Intec love seats.  Sad

They didn't even last the season.  They were cool while they lasted though.  Smiley

yes these chinese knock-off version are from kmart. i'd say they're usually about $10 off of the intec versions. on sale maybe $15 off the intecs.

sorry to hear about that taz. im sure they'll clear these out at the end of the summer retail season though. were they jumping on them? i've banned 3 kids from sitting on them due to their consistant ability to jump on them less than a minute after i told them not to! mines are still holding up but it will be only a matter of time before they go boom

just checked kmart online.

they're on sale for $30 right now

edit 2:
for comparison, the intec version (with cupholders) is $32.30 right now at amazon

and $24.29 at target.com (online only)

I caught a couple of them jumping on them, so that is probably what caused it.  Funny thing is, i can't find any holes in them, even holding them under water in my pool.  no bubbles at all.  But, after about 2 hours they are both losing air.

Oh well, I'll keep an eye open for end of year sales because these really did work well while they lasted.

It is atmosphere pressure change usually caused by change in temperature. I recommend blowing them up in a cool shaded area, not under the sun. The heat from the sun falsely inflates the unit.

Then when it cools down you loose the pressure the heat created.

This happened to me recently at a bit of embarrassment with a floating pool movie screen. I pumped it up at 11am burning hot sun over head before a party I was having. As soon as sundown approached and the temperatures cooled the screen folded in half.. and I knew better.. that's the dumb part.

So if it is not an issue of holes.. my gut leans this direction.

i mean how awesome would it be to have some "test" couches made out of the jumper material. i have no clue what that is, but if that material can handle zillions of kids jumping, perhaps a couch made out of the same material (and craftsmanship) might be able to handle the occasional jumping kid.

if successful, these couches can start an entire outdoor line of outdoor theater gear!  Shocked Grin

Their's just no cost effective way to build inflatable couches like examples in the ad above out of 10oz - 18oz pvc vinyl.

Thats why all this stuff in the add is made in china..lol.

I have someone in texas that wants a large inflatable couch bouncy thing for a 20ft personal use screen we made him. At $5-$8 a yard for the vinyl my cost.. just imagine that the average bounce house is about 175 - 225 yards or two rolls of vinyl.

A couch from the hip depending on the size would be 1 roll +/- if I were going to build it.

My screens are already out of the price ranges for most folks.. id imagine my couch would be to if I made one..

If you have the entrepreneurial spirit to design something for the backyard crowd and market it I will assist you.

When I was camping over the weekend someone near us had the chair version of this and it looked pretty cool.  I wanted to get the sofa version of this for my garage man cave.  I just check tronn4ís link to K-mart and they have it for $19.99 I may have to give it a try.  Anyone who got one or these last season how is it holding up?
