its an online collection of graphic artists who use pre-determined video templates and mix in your companys logo (backyard theater logo, tagline, etc.). you know when you go to home depot and theres a bunch of people outside that are looking for work? its sorta like that. for $5 you could get one (or a couple) of short custom video intros.

Fiverr.com is a site where people list almost anything they will do for $5.
Lots of graphic artists and computer folks who will make mini movies or animations.

There is a ton of useless stuff on fiverr too...just need to weed through the good and not so good....like most things on the internet.
You can see examples for some people, so for $5....not a bad deal.

I had my logo made there.  I am an engineer, but my artistic skills are not very good.

Just went through these again.  Love 'em.

Going to work with my 9 year old grandson to make a stop  motion one this summer - like the one you did with your kids.
What a blast he'll have!

I am brand new, so forgive me if this has been suggested. We just set up our backyard theater last year and it is very much a work in progress.

I haven't seen any posts for sing alongs. Sing Alongs would be a great pre-show for Disney shows. Then there are also themed songs that match the movie like pirate songs or take me out to the ballgame for baseball movies.

For adults - Singing in the Rain,  Les Mis, any one of hundreds of musicals, or Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I have also been looking for things you say along with the show a la Rocky Horror Picture Show. I think that would make for fun repeat viewings for my teenage kids.

Great idea MissPink. I have lots of karaoke. I think I may edit some karaoke over video. Kids wanna watch Little Mermaid....Karaoke song with video, then add bubble machine. I will let you know how it turns out.

Another fun source for pre-show videos is AVgeeks.com. They have thousands of old 16mm film transfers to digital and many are available on YouTube as well. Some real funny PSAs and such in the mix.

Confession: I use my fog machine once while playing Michael Jackson's Kinect game... outside on my BYT... the day before Halloween lol

^.... and i did it with my michael jackson "thriller" jacket.... and white sequin glove!

2 15' usb 2.0 extenders. distance from my screen to my projector is roughly 28'. so i need about 30'-ish with the xbox by the projector. the kinect can work great with usb powered extenders but there is a limit. with one 15' extender you start to notice some lag in kinects' reponse. with 2 15' extenders the lag is quite noticeable. its not perfect but it works.

you have a smaller area so you could probably do with one 15' section.

i've also experimented with just adding a 30' hdmi cable and no extenders to the kinect. works the same but with better reponse time. also because its dark outside, none of those shots the kinect takes will be visible. i have also experimented with this and add a small lamp right under the kinect. its distracting while playing but then those photos can be seen.

this was the year before byt, but i still have the jacket (not sure on the glove). just picture this outside in cheap fog:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/ulQdxesY6bE" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/ulQdxesY6bE</a>

btw, ive lost some weight playing this game. plus my knee was hurting towards the end... and the sun was in face... and i had a flat!.... and
