i've just used a bookshelf type rca stereo for most of the time i've had an outdoor setup, but lately it seems to fade in and out. it's not out in the weather, but it is in my unheated garage so it pretty much gets whatever tempeture extreams happen through the year, and i guess is more sunject to humidity. or it could just be it's an old rca stereo. served me well though.

i've been wanting to upgrade, still not sure when, but i'm wondering if weather/temp issues should be a consideration. i guess stepping up from rca will make it's own difference, but i'm wondering if anyone knows if one brand or another is better for a garage reciever. maybe if i get lucky on a buy a reciever and separate sub amp too (any sub amps better suited for the purpose?) still need to stay on the budget end though. thanks for any help.
