Anyone own one of these kettle corn makers?  Seems like it doesn't make a very big batch - BUT, I love kettle corn.

Me too!  Haven't used this unit but have a look at the reviews on the web page.  Regrettably they are not very encouraging.

A higher quality used unit on Craig's list or eBay might be a better option.  Good luck!

Oh, dear! Don't know how I missed those awful reviews - although I'm not surprised. Well, I have to continue to rely on the grocery store for now.

The best and most versatile popcorn popper I've used for kettle corn is the classic whirly pop. It's simple, cheap and lasts for years.

I usually make mine with the whirley pop then put it in the popcorn machine. Quicker this way and way easier to clean up. And your right Tek, I have had mine for years.

OA Nostalgia Electrics have neat stuff that does not work LOL  They make cheap items that look so good until you get them out of the box.

But the other two are right about the whirly pop I think the quality is as good as the big machines.

If you have kids at your events they love to do the work of making the corn.

It is a small batch but so good.

Quality is very good!

This is the company I use  http://www.snappypopcorn.com/store/pc/home.asp

I think they are great but I am no expert on popcorn LOL

Good luck  Richard

Yep! Have to agree with you concerning the Nostalgia Electrics Company.
And it's probably a good thing that the sturdy, professional machines are so expensive. I'd eat my way into the grave if you'd put a kettle corn machine in front of me.
I just can't stop eating that stuff once I start.
