Freakshow is my Callsign, so I guess that'll have to do.  This is in base housing aboard Little Creek Base in VaBch.  I've had my Carls 16x9 screen for years now, but this is the first real event.  We had about 20 kids over for "Book Of Life" movie/camping in the field.  Huge success.

I had a great EMT frame back in the day, but movers lost the poles and half the fittings, so I knocked the current frame together with 2x4's... works perfect and breaks down with 6 bolts held on with wingnuts.  I can put the frame together by myself in about 3 minutes, but it takes 2 to push it up...  stiff and cheap.  I'm gonna paint it black and be happy.

The whole event blew the neighbors away.  I highly recommend the Harbinger M60 for sound.  For $200 (less on sale) you get PLENTY for events like this.  I plugged the L/R audio out of the BluRay player directly into the mixer and it worked perfectly... only needed about 75% on the AUX volume and 50% on the MASTER.  Plus I grabbed a microphone at a garage sale and the kids took turns yelling "poop".

Wow small world!  I did my AIT for the Army at Little Creek Base in VaBch!  I'm a Bass player and that was where the music school was for the army, navy, and marines (i really meant jarheads, however i'm being PC out of respect for any current or ex-jarheads...i mean marines we may have floating on the board).
Well back to the topic...Nice setup!  I've now had 3 showings, 1 of which got rained out, the next was for a dozen kids for my daughters birthday party, and last night an impromptu video on the canvas tarp in front of the garage.  Grin
Really can't wait to do a bit of a bigger showing!
I've heard lots of good reviews for the M60, think that's gonna be my upgrade item for the spring.  Then I need to get the speakers to go with it!
Gonna do some more now that you finally did an event?
