I'm moving, so sadly, I'm taking down my outdoor theater.  There are a couple of custom made items I have that I thought I would try to pass on to fellow enthusiasts because they're so customized to work in a backyard theater.

The first is a custom made clear Lucite box built specifically for holding and venting an AV receiver (with room for an Apple TV or router as well.)  I spent a couple hundred having this made to my requested dimensions and drilled holes in the sides to allow for airflow.  It's really good for keeping dust off important items, but is not completely waterproof.

Secondly, I have a wooden box in which I housed my projector, Apple TV, power strip, and a few other things.  It also has large fans that automatically turn on when the box reaches 88 degrees to vent the heat out.  Again, this is not weatherproof, but worked for years under my covered patio (I actually attached it to the top of a cat tree.)

I'm located in the Bay Area near San Jose, so these are pick-up items because shipping would be tricky.  I'm moving to Lake Tahoe, so if anybody there wants them, I'll bring them with me on my move.

Thanks for a great forum everybody!
Doug

Great write up!  Awesome setup you have, it is very tidy.  I am sure you will enjoy your new home in Lake Tahoe, but your current house is beautiful.  Also thanks for your generosity, if I wasn't in Hawaii I would take you up on that Lucite case, it would be perfect for this climate.
