Anybody having a LOST party tonight for the season finale on your outdoor bigscreens?

I just got my Acer PD525 projector delivered an hour ago.  Ran it through the tests and it looks like it will be great.

We're not having a party, and we haven't even mounted our 4'x8' screeen yet, but we're going to use the old 4' wide pull down on our patio with my Samsung HDTV tuner and watch the finale in style.

I realize out on the east coast, the finale is already halfway through showing, by the time i'm posting this, but what will you be doing / did you do for the LOST FInale?  I can't be the only Lostie in this forum.

Discuss.

I'm not into "Lost" but my kids are.  They are outside as I type this,  watching it.  The only bad deal is our cable company "Charter Com" dosen't carry our local ABC in HD.  (Due to a dispute)

Oh man that's a buzzkill.  By the way it doesnt start airing for another 30 minutes on the west coast!!!!

I've got the cheezy  preshow "special" on right now, and I'm out here on my laptop.  We have Charter communications as well, luckly they do have ABC-HD in socal.  I only pay $9.99 for their basic cable (22 channels) lineup, on top of my cable internet, but with my samsung HDTV  QAM tuner, I get ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, the CW, KCET (PBS) and HDNET in 1080i for free.   Their full HD tier only has about 5 more channels on top of what I get for free, so I don't see the point of subscribing.

Man, I hope the finale doesnt suck, you've got me worried now!

Sorry Matt Embarrassed

I am hooked on one and only one show....LOST. It is the only thing I watch on tv anymore. I was just venting...the worst episode of LOST is still better than the best of most others. (In my opinion)

...but I don't watch the others....so how could I know?...

Ok I'm just rambling now...

BTW Don't worry........You will enjoy it!!

I am enjoying it pretty well even as I type this.  I agree, LOST is the best show on TV at the moment.

Some other favorites of mine are The Office, and Arrested Development, which fox cut last year.  Also, 24, and Prior to Season 4, Nip Tuck.

Man it is such nice weather out here right now.  about 70 degrees, with a small breeze.    Even on a 48" wide pull down screen, it's awesome.

*UPDATE*.   I thought the finale was excellent!  I wasn't disappointed at all.   And I'm so enamored with my new projector, that I'm watching the ABC 11 o'clock news in HD out here on the patio just because I can.

I've heard Heroes was good, but never got around to watching it.  Maybe while all the shows are on summer hiatus, I'll download...ahem, "rent" season one of heroes and see how i like it.  Out by the pool, I'm likely to enjoy anything.  Smiley
