Friday Movie Nights is rock'n & roll'n.  Thought I'd post some pix on our setup and thank everyone for helping me in my research.

I purchased an Infocus BigWorks IN24+ with 2,200 lumens for about $350 on ebay.  Bought blackout cloth and stapled & ductaped it to a piece of wood and hung it from our kid's playstructure (about 7'x7' screen size).  Already had spare dvd player and sony speakers & audio, so just plugged in and done!!  Simple.

Resolution is fantastic!!!  We start right at 8pm PST and by 8:15ish it's dark and awesome!  Kids tend to fall asleep on the ground, so adults are watching the finale of Muppets in Space and Nemo!  Oh, well....in a few years we'll move up to PG!

All-in-all, fantastic set up and I THANK YOU ALL (Cherry Hills & Danoplex) for your gracious time & input.  Fantastic Site for research!!

Enjoy the movie!

Congratulations Backyard Mom, and welcome!!

Great job incorporating your swing set.  I've always felt those structures are underutilized.

Glad you had a great night and it's nice knowing you have many more ahead!  Have a blast and keep us posted.  Smiley

Great job! Now go over to zoomoondoggie's thread in the speaker forum and tell her how easy it is to do the sound!

You will have MANY more great showings.

Good luck,

Good stuff!

The sun going down behind the movie is awesome! That's what I call "Magic Time"!

You've used the space nicely -- trust me, you'll be out there alot!
