The wife and I had a private showing of "Casino Royale" just for the two of us for our anniversary tonight.  Celebrating 12 years today!  After tonight, I can say that I am finally happy with my screen.  The natural colored canvas drop cloth worked flawlessly.  The bad news was that we both got tired before the end of the movie, I had no idea it was that long.

Anyway, here's the run down on my set-up.  A true testament of what can be done for very little money if you keep your eyes peeled and toss in a little luck.  Even with the new screen I made today, I still only have just over $100 in the entire backyard theater.

SHOWTIME!

- Barco Data 701s CRT Projector
- 12' x 7' natural colored painter's drop cloth screen
- Some ancient Fisher stereo equipment (sounds great and plenty enough for me)
- Cheapy Apex DVD player
- Custom roll around metal cabinet to house everything.  Made from an old commercial copier stand.

First off congratulations on your 12 year anniversary, I just celebrated my 1st last month. I've got a long way to go to catch up with you....LOL.... I'm loving it though.  The new screen looks good.  I to was amazed with the natural canvas tarp. The picture was so crisp and clear.  I didn't think that it would work when I bought it b/c I didn't see anyone on here using them.  So when I bought the natural canvas I hung it up inside and viewed it first before I sewed it together.  I was totally impressed.  I just had to add boc to mine so you couldn't see through it.  Hey I'm glad that you enjoyed your new screen. I'm going to have to check that Casino Royale out.  Good job.

Thanks Bedrock

This one I got is pretty thick.  I didn't use any BOC and it works just fine.  Wink

I love your setup. This is really high-effeciency stuff, with surplus equipment, low-cost supplies and a little ingenuity. You've done a great job there!

Oops, sorry Randy.  I just saw where you said the images needed to be hosted here to be considered for Featured pics.  First post edited as well.
