Well, I have had a screen and projector for sometime now (bought a DV10 that came with a sub and a GreyWolf Screen a few yrs ago.), but after joinging Backyard Theater.com I can see I was behind the curve. I've purchased a canvas tarp, 9x12, and fastened it to the patio cover. This was the best angle to provide seating by the pool. We are having some friends over this coming Sunday for a BBQ and Swimming. We will finish off the night with Night at the Museum. Here are some pix. I am still looking for a stereo receiver with optical in at craigs list, but no luck yet. Will keep you posted.

It's all one curve, ROOST3R.   Grin  Welcome aboard!

Glad you've decided to take it outside.  Looks like a great place to enjoy movies.  Thanks for posting your info and pics and keep us posted on the audio upgrades.

1/2 way there on the audio.  Picked up a pair of Niles outdoor speakers from a co-worker for a good price ($75).
http://www.4electronicwarehouse.com/products/niles/os5.3.html usually priced $215.

I still need to get a receiver. I need to pop over into the audio section to check some setups.
Thanks for the warm welcome

OK 1st showing with other people besides the family is Sunday.
After looking at my pic of the screen, it looks too trailer park compared to the others in the forum. I bought the PVC to build a frame. Then it will look more uniform.
I have not found a receiver yet, but I plan on using my laptop and the vlc player play list for trailers (I dl some new HD trailers from Apple and Yahoo trailers) and my custom Disney intro.
I will use a 5.1 Dell PC speakers pictured below. I am hoping the audio is loud enough. I downloaded AC3 (http://ac3filter.net/projects/ac3filter) filter to help raise the Gain a bit.

Yes it does, but admitting you have a problem is the first step toward recovery. Grin

The good news is that throwing money at it will fix it in no time.

Enjoy.
