Sunset Cinema

Well, my beloved Tarheels lost this weekend so that means it's time to move on. With that, I set up my screen tonight and took some quick pics. Once I can catch daylight, I'll share those pics as well. BTW, that dark spot over the right side of the screen is a branch that hangs down, giving it the Austin City Limits feel (I think I'm the only one who thinks it's charming so the branch will probably go this summer).
Screen: 10x20 EMT with white tarp (based on this site: http://www.digitaldummies.com/projects/outdoor.asp)
Projector: BenQ PB6240
Receiver: JBL 5.1 Surround (100 watts/channel I believe)
DVD player: Magnavox
VCR for VCR And TV Tuner
Speakers (4 Yamaha Outdoor AW NS350 (Frt Left, Frt Right, 2 Center) and 2 AudioSource 5 1/4" driver I believe) hung on 3' metal fence posts.

That's a handy cart with the drop-down sides. Are those pneumatic tires? Seems like they would give your gear a softer ride across the yard than solid rubber. I might even run them a little flat. I like the cart!
I have a branch in the exact same place. I give that tree a trim every couple years.
Thanks for posting your pics. It looks like a quick setup and tear down, which means you'll be more apt to use it on short notice. Streamlining your setup really helps.
I really enjoy surround audio outdoors. It makes for some interesting moments when you're just not sure if something is real or part of the movie.
Have a blast!

Yeah, that cart looks like a great way to store and set up/break down.
Looks like a nice setup.
Welcome aboard!
Good luck,
Tom

That cart is the core of the system. I found that cart about 5 showings into my first season and it has made the difference. It's the key to being up and going in 10 minutes which makes impromptu showings very easy. I've got tailgate ramps I made with a kit and some 2x8 boards which make getting it in the house a breeze. Yep, those are pneumatic and I find that when the air is low it's pretty tough to pull because all my indoor equipment (receiver, projector, subwoofer, cooler, etc.) are pretty heavy.
Thanks for looking!

Of course! The cooler is a critical piece to the backyard theater!

I have a mini dorm fridge on my back porch. I keep it stocked year round.
