Saw this idea recently on Pinterest. Couldn't track down the original poster.
Thought it clever.
Plunger + mop handle extension.

the plunger would serve as double duty, when your guests clog a toilet all you need to do it get a stanchion to unclog it  Grin

for me it came to a screeching stop 4 years ago when i got sick. i think though in this area it is picking up. there are more and more places that show movies, newer releases. i don't know if they are getting licenses or not. i see the names of the movies on signs, online and billboards and the last research i did you aren't allowed to advertise the name of the movie.

i do miss  my sit outside theater and drive-in i had. that was fun to see people coming to my place to watch movies.

I'm back !!!  Grin

I'm back, not stronger than ever though.

I think it has been a little over a year for me.

I'll catch everyone up.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to spend a week in the hospital over Christmas ? Ask me, I can tell you.

Last Decemebr 19, 2013, a Saturday, I woke up at 3am and couldn't breath. I layed back down for 2 hours and just gasped for air. I got up at 5am and as the next couple hours went on I got a little better.

We, my family, was to go to the nursing home where my mom is and have a family Christmas with her, but as 1pm approached I started gasping for air again. By 2pm it felt like a million people were sitting on my chest.

I called my dad and brother and said I was calling 911 for an ambulance because they should be able to give me oxygen.
When they arrived it took me 10 minutes to climb into the back of it. I couldn't lay down at all because there was so much pressure on my chest.

Before we left the gave me a breathing treatment and that helped a little.

In the emergency they did the usual blood work, chest x-rays and so on. They then did a nasal swab and that was the oddest, strangest feeling I ever had. They came back and said I had type A flu. The "stupid" ER doctor as I called him wrote me a prescription for an inhaler and sent me home. Before that they did another breathing treatment.

I got home about 7:30pm and went to bed. About 10pm I was gasping for air again.

I called 911 and went back to the hospital, they gave me another breathing treatment in the ambulance.

The ER doctor shook his head and said you are very sick. He immediately put me on 5 liters of oxygen, started me on Tamiflu and said I would be admitted.

To make a long story short, I was on 5 liters of O2 for the first 4 days continually. I was quarantined, not allowed out of my room at all. Staff and visitors had to put on footsies, gown, cap, gloves and use hand sanitizer to see me. I slept sitting a chair most of the 7 days because my chest was so tight.

They put me on Predisone which wreaked havoc on me. It raised my sugar level to ever 1000 each time, then they would give me double and triple doses of insulin.

When I got home I could lay down for about 3 weeks, I slept sitting in an arm chair sitting straight up, even leaning my head to a side made it difficult to breath.

I was on a Pro Air inhaler for 2 months, 2 puffs every 4 hours.

By the time March came I was breathing pretty well. I would still get out of breath, but the doctor said it could take months to get my lungs back to full capacity.

April came along and I started gasping for air again. They did some tests and the pulmonary function test showed that I now have Asthma.

I tried a couple different meds that didn't work. I am now using Flo Vent Diskus, 2 puffs, two times a day. I still have to rely on the Pro Air rescue inhaler 3 to 4 times a day, two puffs each.

The neurologist thought maybe the Lyric I am taking for nerve pain was causing my heart to retain fluid, making it difficult to breath. The echo cardiogram showed my heart is 100% perfect, which was great news.

I used to say I could work 55 minutes of every hour and take a 5 minute break, now I'm lucky if I can do 5 minutes of every hour.

From my original problem, the acute diverticulitis, everything is fine and working inside.

I still have shoulder, arm, hand and finger pain 24 hours a day, but not being able to breath is the worst part right now.

I will be catching up on all the posts for the past year. I'm sorry it took me so long to come back. I've said it before I would love to have a simple setup for myself, but it's just not in the near or probably distant future right now.

I did see a post sparge made about the former spargefests, they were a lot of fun. I am glad I got to be part of the two years ago. I made many good, lifelong friends.

Thank you to all the forum members who are friends with me on Facebook, I do get on there daily and will keep in touch with all of you there and here.

Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers over the 4 plus years.

Merry Belated Christmas !!!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be in the hospital over Christmas ? Wonder no more, just ask me  Grin

I went to the ER a week ago Saturday and got home this past Friday. I was diagnosed with type A flu, I'm told that is the worse strain.
It settled in my chest and felt like I was suffocating. I'm on meds and breathing treatments every 4 hours, I wish I could say it will be a speedy recovery, but it won't.
