1  Backyard Theater discussions / General discussion / Domain Name to be released on: February 16, 2012, 11:57:57 am
Hey Kids,
Just wanted to put it out there, I will be releasing the backyardmovie.net domain name in a month or so. It started as a free website thru Microsoft Office Live and then last year they mucked it all up and I had to change and start paying...cheap girl that I am...I don't want or really need to do that anymore. I've got my group page on Facebook and I'm going to just do a blog site for updates and such. backyardmovie.tumblr.com

I'm not looking for money just wanted to keep the domain name within the BYT family!

You all must get The Christmas Story!!! We showed that for last years Xmas movie night - and it was a huge hit!
We may show one of The Santa Clause movies this year. Not sure quite yet but always a fun night. Lots of hot cocoa and desserts a plenty.

Been meaning to post this...served up at Halloween Backyard Movie. People were licking the bread...

Hot Bacon Cheese Spread
1 loaf round bread
1 package of bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
2 cups colby/monterey/jack/cheddar combo
1-2 cups Mayo (not any of the fake stuff either!)
small onion, finely chopped

Remove center of round loaf, save pieces for additional dipping pieces.
Mix remaingin ingredients in a small bowl. Spoon into the hollowed bread shell. Cover with bread top
Bake at 350 for 1 hour, serve with bread pieces or crackers. Be prepared for LOTS of ahhhhs and oooohs!
Enjoy

ha-ha, impressed you picked out Jayne, Sparge!

We weren't able to get it together for actual Halloween night showing out front this year....and had quite a few families say, "Where's the Halloween movie this year?" "Don't you usually have a movie playing?"... nice to know were known as the movie house!

Had a fun night of The Great Pumpkin CB and Ghostbusters! The weather daytime was in the low 80's...at movie ending it was 43 degree! Quite chilly for San Diego Wink
Just a couple screen pics  Grin ....also, the big thing now for pre-movie is to play "Ninja" (last pic)
Happy Halloween everyone!!!

Sparge,
I'm curious about that Torpedo heater thing! What is it hooked up to and how much does your Gas & Electric bill go up every time you use it?!
Looks like it was a wonderful bundled up cozy night at the movies!!

Due to demand of the teenagers....were having a Halloween showing on the 29th. They all wanted to see Ghostbusters (ok?!) and start early so we could then have  double feature. Mind you, I (foolishly) agreed to allow a group vote for the second movie..I just made them promise it wouldn't be Saw 7.  Anyhoo, the older kids (mostly Seniors in HS) are all talking about  having shows this year for EVERY holiday..."It's our last chance MOM!" ahhhhh...anything to keep the kiddies happy.
So my question to the gang here is...what does one show for Thanksgiving? hahaha

Were starting early on the 29th - if your in So Cal, stop on by! Costumes are required! Smiley

Dang, now I'm going to have to go listen to Pink Floyd! (Cuts from that [Pink Floyd's The Wall] would be good for Halloween!)

By far, the best ever!!! Agree with dredpiraterobts...this would be all-time for a showing of The Wall.!

GREAT JOB!!!!

Any suggestions for spots 1 and 5 on this year's line up?
-Sparge-

Hey Sparge,  How about Monsters Inc. or Abbott & Costello meet Frankenstein for the #1 spot?
