Backyard Theater discussions / Screen specific / Help with digital dummies screen

I bought the creativeshelters kit and 1"EMT, put it all together and am having fits. I can't seem to get everything to look level as others have. Am I doing something wrong, or is this normal? The screen is together, but just doesn't look that great.....but I am a perfectionist with OCD so take that for what it's worth.
Help,

Thank you all so much for your advice. I came across this pj while daydreaming about my BYT at work: an Optoma EP749 2500 Lumens XGA 1024 x 768 4.4 lbs DLP Projector...do you believe this would work well on a 10' 20' screen? A guy at work says anything over 80" - 100" will distort image. Is this true? If so is this the right pj for me? I will show primarily widescreen movies.
Any advice is welcome advice

Backyard Theater discussions / Projector specific / Help for 10' x 20' screen

New here, so please forgive me if you've seen this question before. I am excited about making my 1st backyard theater. Need help finding projector. I have settled on a 10' x 20' canvas screen attached to 1" EMT frame. I am lost as to what would be the best projector. Yes I have been to projector central but find the sight confusing since I'm not sure how to figure diagonal distance, gain, etc. The throw distance can be anywhere from 20' to 40' or more (we have 3 acres) off of back deck. Need simple easy to use pj, want to play movies, possibly sporting events (if I can figure out how to do it), and connect a Sony Wii or xbox 360 to it. I don't want to spend thousands of dollars since this is my first attempt... I can already tell you now from viewing this site I will probably try to outdo myself each year. primarily night usage but would love to host evening events if possible.
PLEASE HELP AS I WANT TO GET STARTED A.S.A.P.!!
