What about trivia?  That always seems to keep people guessing and wondering what is next.  Mix it up with some kids trivia (Pixar, Disney, Potter related) and some adult trivia (comedy, thrillers, action, etc.)
You could even search IMDB for interesting facts, goofs, and trivia about the movie you plan to show and include these with pics.   Add a good soundtrack to the mix and you should have their attention.

the dollar indoor cinima by me does this. between shows it shows slides with quotes who said that from stars for ex. who said "i was never interested in doing an officer and a gentlemen. the truth was i needed the money at the time"

No... we tossed it.  I think someone picked it up though since it was gone before bulk trash came.  Funny thing is that it spent the whole night our in the rain.... can't imagine what good it would be for them.  Fortunately, my brother-in-law had given us a 35" tube when he replaced all his sets in his house.  It's about as old as my JVC was, but a little bigger.

all you have to do is let it dry out completely before plugging it in

We had a lightning strike two doors down the other night and it fried my JVC 31" (along with the DVD, Xbox, bar TV, baby monitor and one of the three PCs).  It's an old tube, but it serves us well and I am wondering if I should trash it tomorrow in our bulk pickup.  I opened it up and checked the fuse and it's fine and I don't see any capacitors or other components blackened or discolored.  My wife wants me to get rid of it since tomorrow is bulk pickup and we really don't have the space to store it until the next pickup.

Anyone?  Clock is ticking to get it out in the trash tonight.....  thanks.

well if you still have it you could have either fried the tube or the P/S

We're in pretty good shape for bon fires for the next 5 years or so, well, depending on the size of the fires.   Grin

Yeah, Alex, I think I'll call this BYT Trapeze test concluded at 2 1/2 years (even though it spent a month or two laying on the ground in the mud, it was still outside).  I'll probably go ahead and replace it now.  I could go the 100 MPH tape repair route but that only leaves me 6 MPH overhead.

Thanks guys.  I'm very thankful things weren't any worse.  The majority is cleaned up now and the power just came on a couple hours ago.  All things considered it was just another bump in the road.  There was a 4-year-old girl killed in this storm just a few a few miles from here when a tree fell on a tent.   My prayers go out to that family.

Randy

WOW looks like a tornado hit. did one touch down. glad your all right.

OK, I built the frame and attached the drop cloth. Worked great (it's a b**ch to move around), until I folded in the side and the open side of the T-connector put a hole in the tarp. Piece of crap. Oh well, what do I expect for $20. Next time I'll buy the 10.oz one instead of the 8.oz until I can croulge up the $$ to buy one from Carl. Other than that, it works fine.

alright lets figure this out is the tarp made of cloth or does it look like plastic.
