1  Backyard Theater discussions / General discussion / Re: new screen on: July 03, 2017, 08:31:37 am
The frame is well built
You can clean the screen
I would not leave the set up outside 24/7
It is real easy to set up/break down

Under (are you ready) $200.00

Sorry, I must have sold it.  It was a carls screen with the Gemmy clips on it. He made it for me several years ago.

The only screen sheet I have is a Sima and a screen with a blk boarder and gromets

I do have 2 or 3 of the Backyard screens (frame and sheet)

Well I just recv'd a new screen indoor use.

A projecto screen by vapex screens The model I got was 120"
The frame unfolds (no assemby) and the sheet snaps on. You can add the feetor hang from the ceiling. At an extra charge you can get a skirt for the bottom. It comes in a carry bag, stakes to be used outside, guide ropes
The largest model is 144". You can buy a rear projection screen for it. Unit weights is 38 lbs. One person can set it up. Very sturdy.
It really is a neat screen.

I'm thinking of getting the 144 unit

For that price you cannot go wrong! owned one many years ago.
It nice for your backyard. I would NOT recommend it for rentals.
Frame is nice, built in blower, easy set up
White sheet: wrinkles, wrinkles, wrinkles. You cannot get them out. NO rear projection

Between $12 & 14.00 depending on how many you buy.

My main plan is to loan them out on movie night ( a $20.00 deposit is required ) I really do not want to sell them.
Nice thing about these you punch in you freq. lock and store it. Very loud. Rechargeable. come in different colors

It's a very nice unit

I agree with 11.
I understand most folks on this site are backyard movie fans and equipment for a backyard budget. I was there because I love showing movies and my history in the D-I's. I started out with home made screen including Carl's and others. I enjoyed it so much that when people asked can you come to my house I said YES!.
Folks on this site area always bringing new items, thought to the table. What bothered me after reading and looking at your site it came to "He's using this site as a free ad for his screen".  WRONG!
Tell us this is your ideal, your screen, oh buy the way I sell them.

Enough said, time to move on the season is almost here

Are you ready to show movies under the stars

I know your screens will do both front and rear projection. What do you do. The reason I ask is when do rear projection you loose some brightness. The amount depends on screen size. Of the top of my head I would not do under 4500 lum.,  HD, HDMI, RGB. Stay with a brand name. That said it all depends on your budget.
