Hiredpower<   What is the size of just the screen surface (in feet). I understand it uses heavy duty velcro to secure it to the sides. I have a metal screen frame and was thinking the surface might fit on the frame.  Thanks rg

It helps when you double check what you put on this site. For some reason I just check the price I entered on the Sharp projector. The price SHOULD read $1100.00 NOT $1900.00. Thanks

YES-YES-YES.  It's TIME to get ready for a great summer of movies under the stars. The programs are printed,  the WEB site is up and the titles for the opening show have been picked. Weather permitting May 27th will be the season opening. Cleanup has started in the yard, furniture being readed. The snackbar is also being set up. The new projector arrived (panasonic 900) and a test run was done this past sunday. Picture looks GREAT on the 12' X 7' screen. New photos will be on the web after the opening show.  Lets hope for a great summer of Movies Under The Stars.  ray

Don, Go with the matte white vinyl. It shows a very pretty picture, will not fade and is ok in the bad weather. Order it with reinforced edges/grommets every foot. Use a 5" bleed all around to fold around the frame. I talk my screen face down after my halloween show for the season.

Some canvas tarps are very shinney and if not pulled tight may cause hot spots on your picture. If you can find a heavy duty  13 oz matte white vinyl in your town this will work and will last. I use this for my outdoor screen. It is put up at the start of the season and comes down the beginning of Nov. It will give you a great looking picture. Hope this helps.

This is in my back yard.  Let me start with the deck. Its 15' x 30', two level. It seats 12 with cafe tables for food. Between the deck and the screen is a pond w/ an island in the center and a bridge to it. Lots of fish. The screen is 12' x 8' black masking for a 16 x 9 ratio. The screen is 3' off the ground. The picture is beautiful. The projector is an LCD hi-end unit. The sound system is 5.1 with right, center, left speakers mounted on the front edge of the deck, rear speakers on the back railing. I also do FM stereo radio sound using sony walkmans. We show double features with the orig. D-I intermission clocks ever other saturday night. This last holiday we had our last dusk to dawn show for the season. The snack bar is about 25' to the rear and has the standard food. Hot dogs, Popcorn, pretzels. theatre size candy.  Pictures will be coming soon.
