When we move back into the house it may be a good weekend afternoon project for DH.  Chime in if you get a lightbulb!🤔. Thanks!

I haven't been on this site in a while.  Where is everyone?

2 feet of water in the house.  But we are currently restoring and hope to be in for Christmas.  I thought the PJ felt hot while we were running it. DH said it is usually like that.  Any idea if there is something that I could repair to correct the problem?

I plan on doing what you said.  I am just a fix instead of replace kind of person.

So my DS  Halloween party was this past Saturday. We had to have the party at a neighbor's home because our home flooded in the Louisiana floods in August.  Sadly, my projector was flooded in the case. When I found it the corner of the projector was in the floodwater  The particular corner was the bulb and lens area. DH took it apart and cleaned it with lint free cloth and cleaner and turned it on and the picture was very vibrant and seemed like it was in perfect condition.  We decided to make a run through on Friday night and test the projector at the neighbor's house. Every time we turned the projector on it would trip the GFCI's We plugged it in numerous GFCI's outside and it tripped every area every time so we went to Best Buy to get a new projector and it was a new Epson projector and brought it to the neighbors house and it worked fine. Does anyone  have any idea of what is going on?  Two possibly relevant facts when we tested the old projector after cleaning it,  We were at an older home outside and we don't know if it was on a GFCI or not.  The neighbor's home is a new home less than two years old.  Would love to be able to use my old one as I have always wanted a backup.

Can't wait to see what you settle on.  We also tried to build a type of outdoor sectional.  Gave up on the idea when I really thought about the cushion upkeep.  We use the plastic adirondack chairs from Lowes.  Loose a few each year so we just buy a few to replace each year.  Can't really beat the comfort.  I have seen the loveseat style. DW would like that.  Only problems for us are storage.  They are bulky.  We've gone through many ideas and cant really find a better solution.  This is our 8th year.  Looking forward to reading your solution.

Just curious, when yall have these intros...how do you transition to the movie.  Is it awkward.  Do you play on your pc or another disc and then have to switch discs?  Are you leaving it running while people are sitting down.  They are so pretty, I would love to use one, but just can't figure out in what manner.

Gremlins (feed this koala thing at midnight and grow these other weird things),
The Blair Witch Project (students lost in a forest, things go bad),
The Frighteners (MJFox horror/comedy),
Shaun of the Dead (zombies, pub, comedy),
Young Frankenstein (its pronounced "Fraunk-Un-Steen!")
Santo Y Blue Demon Contra Dracula Y El Hombre Lobo (2 mexican wrestlers fight dracula and a were-wolf!)
Beetlejuice (daylight come and me wanna go home)
Little Shop of Horrors (steve martin dds. classic)
The Lost Boys (comedy, action, horror, "death by stereo!")
The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra (picked up this gem after a fellow board member recommended it)
Monster House (kids comedy, horror)
Versus (2000 japanese horror, comedy... thing. its got martial arts, guns, zombehs, and awesomeness. all subtitled)
The Exorcist (pretty much a staple)

so 14 movies that i have. what else would you suggest?

Those are great suggestions! Need to choose one for DS H Pty on 10/26.  We've already shown
2007 Monster House
2008 Nightmare Before Christmas
2009 Monsters vs. Aliens
2010 Diary of a Wimpy Kid
2011 Ghostbusters (Kid version)

I think I will be wimping out if I do either Diary 2 or Ghostbusters 2.  They are 9/10 now.  Really tough.  I watched Gremlins the other day and thought that would be an option, but it starts off so slow and there is so much Christmas in it I thought it was taking away from the theme of the night.

Any other suggestions for this age group.  I would like the Burbs.  DS just doesn't get the humor yet.  Also alot of the D word.  Any help would be appreciated.  I'd like to stick with comedies.

ArniePye,
Thanks for teaching me about GOBOs.  I ordered two!  They are the exact same image as the one in the pic!  I did some testing last night and I think it will work with my existing landscape lights.  I just have to figure out how to connect it. Can't wait until Christmas to buy more and it was only $9.  Great Job ArniePye!  Keep giving those tips!

Thanks!  That is certainly the best solution.  I'm just trying to find a really low cost solution.  DH would put the brakes on $399.  I need a MacGyver solution.

Okay.  I know y'all think it's too early; however, I'm getting in gear.  Need your help.  I realize my house is not this house, but it did spark an idea.  Can anyone give me an idea of how to project the pumpkin with maybe a spotlight without dedicating a projector?  I think I found these "gels" I can use in my landscape lights to throw the orange and green.  The pumpkin I think was moving.  But, I'll be fine with a stationary image.  Any ideas.  I don't want to buy anything expensive.  Any thoughts???

It's a pretty neat place to use.  Supposedly, companies from all over the world are coming here to use it.  Check it out when you have time.

Nowadays I'm hawking a 2d-to-3d conversion technique (that doesn't suck).

Hey Rory  is that like what Pixel Magic does?  Ever heard of them?  They supposedly did the latest 3d conversion for Harry Potter and right here in our little town at the Lite Center.  Supposedly has office in CA and here in Louisiana.  We're pretty facinated by it.  Sounds like a cool job!
