Yeah the spamming of forums is thwacking forums all over the net. One I post to  eventually hired a software package that pretty much diabled all the features of the site (like the buttons you have above).

I am "new" here as well, although I've been reading the board off and on for quite a while.

I just did my first big event this past Saturday, which was a UFC 146 fight party. Unfortunately, the cable company didn't cooperate and we missed a great deal of the show. But everyone had a great time.

I'll give details about my set-up in another post, but here's a pic of the screen in the distance.

I have been researching this site for a couple months.  I am about to start my backyard theater, but have a few questions.

I have a 24 foot round pool with a 10 foot deck behind the pool.  I am wanting to buy a HD projector but I need to find one that can have a throw from 35 to 40 feet so I can project from the other side of pool(away from water).  Any suggestions?

I am going to purchase the 16X9 screen kit from Carls since everyone seems to love it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated for this newbie!

Short answer is yes, there have been problems.  It boils down to available time on my end, mostly.  Summers are always busy for me and this one has been especially demanding with considerable work-related issues the past month or so.  And I did sneak a couple quick vacations in, early summer...

OA, PM me a note on your friend who is waiting, please.

I hope to be addressing some things here soon with upgrades and such that will help.  Just not enough hours in the day for me to get it done, it seems, so I'll likely be hiring someone to do this work.  Not thrilled about that but it looks like the only way it's going to get done at this point.

My apologies for delays on new accounts.  Drop me an email if you're waiting and I'll try to get you going.  Hint: the more you look like a real person who is sincerely interested in BYT, the more likely you'll be authenticated quicker.  It's not a guarantee because sometimes I'm just flat out slow, but it helps.  This site is not all I do and my available time here the past couple months has been extremely limited.
