One of our favorite posters and all around good guys, Movielover(Fred) has had major abdominal surgery and recently got out of intensive care and is back home recuperating. From what Fred briefly told me, it was pretty serious. It sounds like he's going to be laid up for awhile and asked me to relay that he misses everyone here. I'm surmising that it's probably best to let him rest and gain strength, so rather than contact him directly, just PM him or give him a shout out in this thread.

It's safe to say that his recent illness had nothing to do with his wonderful apple pies Grin

Movielover always has a kind word for everybody and always brings a smile or chuckle to all that know him.

GET WELL BIG GUY!!!!!

Movielover(Fred)  Get well soon. we all miss you.

When I was six I had some cherry Pie & the next day I had my appendix out it had burst. So for the next few years it was blueberry & apple pie for me.

So keep eating apple pies & you will get well soon. Take care our friend!

Here I thought your ice cream business took off and was keeping you away from the board!

Get some R&R their buddy!  You've got almost a full year to recuperate for SpargeFest 2011!  Wink

I definitely agree.  Fred has always been a wonderful guy.  Meeting him at Spargefest was one of the highlights.  Please pass along well wishes, from both Amber and myself.  Our thoughts and prayers are with him.

Fred made a very generous attempt to sell a piece of equipment - he was going to give me half of the proceeds from the sale - just because I had recently become unemployed and was a fairly regular poster to these forums.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Movielover. Looking forward to having you back up and around.

Fred, I know you're out there. A couple of us here behind the scenes realize that you're going through difficult times and require around the clock care. We've raised a few dollars through generous contributions and are sending these two care givers to your bedside. No need to to say thanks!
