I am requesting a new discussion board named "Google Map Locator" or similarly named where we can place a pin on a google map to identify our location.  Heck I might have neighbors in this forum and not even know it.  It would be a good way to meet people living close to us.

I don't see this taking up much band width.  It will require an initial google map set up but nothing more.

I see the discussion boards being like this:

General
Projector specific
Screen specific
Audio specific
Google Map member locator
Etc

We've had a map over here:
http://www.mapservices.org/myguestmap/map/backyardtheater

But we may still have a problem.  Try to pin yourself on there and let me know what happens.  Their free version stopped at 500 people (going from memory here...).  I made a $50 donation to them to unlock it for more but don't know if it was ever unlocked.

Thanks to some help from the guys with mapservice, and kelemvor, I think we have this straightened out for now.

Might look into migrating the data to something more generic down the road.

Second time worked like a charm. Used Chrome the second time, not sure if that helped or not?

Thanks!

I was able to add my pin. I'm using Safari on a Mac.

It is interesting to see the BYTers near me.

Thanks for the help!!!
Hopefully there is enough interest for this to have it's own discussion board.
