I loved this movie as well. I thought their were some awkward moments in the characterization of the fella's, but overall laughed my rear off.

and don't forget Joe DeRita.
Joe DeRita (July 12, 1909 – July 3, 1993), born Joseph Wardell, was an American comedian who is best known as Curly Joe DeRita, the "sixth" member of The Three Stooges, and the "second" Curly.

Gotta weigh in here, since it's a review discussion.
The movie, although true to the spirit of the Stooges, was unnecessary.
It's easy to see the originals, and as a love letter to the Stooges, it's ok.
If you want to see the Stooges, you'd be better served just watching one of the boxed sets from Amazon.

^You could say
any
movie is unnecessary. What is necessary? Food, water, shelter, love...
Movie remakes and knock-offs and re-imaginings have been made since the beginning of movies.
I didn't like the idea of creating new Stooges when I first heard about this project, but they did it and ended up with a funny, heartfelt movie. So? People watch it if they want to watch it and don't watch it if they don't want to watch it. Simple.
The producers have a soft spot for the Three Stooges and wanted to make a movie using those characters created by the Howards and Fine. Fine.

Can you name an episode where all 4 were acting? Yeah not a fan of the Joe's. Moe and Larry had lost their edge at that point, too.

I dont know how to embed YouTube videos, but here's a link:
http://www.youtube.com/embed/Sk4ujI-EOMk
FROM WIKIPEDIA: Donning a full head of hair, Curly made a brief cameo appearance (doing his barking-dog routine) in the third film after brother Shemp returned to the trio, "Hold That Lion!".
It was the only film that featured Larry Fine and all three Howard brothers, Moe, Shemp and Curly, simultaneously
; director Jules White later said he spontaneously staged the bit during Curly's impromptu visit to the soundstage.
