The domain is now registered by a squatter. Received some calls that said they closed.

Yup, closed and sold most of my equipment to a great outfit a bit south of me. I did keep some of the stuff for my own personal enjoyment and the enjoyment of friends.

Absolutely!

So I'm a firefighter/paramedic, am married, and have a 6 year old daughter.  I'm gone at my full time job for 24 hours at a crack and my business had gotten to the point that I was putting in 40 hours during the day and then going out to do events often traveling several hours and more across 4 states.

During the winter of 2011 I decided that being around for my daughter and my wife was far more important then a business that started out as a hobby and grew into something WAY bigger.

I miss every aspect of it, from working on the website to rolling screens up at 1am. But I would have missed far more by not being at home.

yeah.. I was disappointed. You were a good success story I could use as an example when talking to folks. You were a quick zero to hero in outdoor screen rentals.  And disappointed that you didn't turn your website into a retirement account.

I've should have kept BlazingStarCinema.com, recently i've been getting calls from folks thinking I'm still in business and wanting to discuss their upcoming event they have booked with me.

I don't know if Moonlight is booking folks and because he registered Blazing Star Cinema and linked it to his site if thats causing confusion or if its a problem some place else. But I just got a call tonight at 9:30 from an angry client...

Need to get this figured out one way or another

good for you recognizing the importance of family. On the other end of things, what was your business model?  I'd like to do something serious, but not sure I want to take the "fun" out of it.  I find pleasure in arranging and setting up equipment, but bored to tears and anxious during the gig, itself.  any suggestions?
