MY OWN UNEDUCATED OPINION:
Lumens (brightness) is good. Not great, but good.
Contrast (ratio between darkest darks and whitest whites) is not good. Probably fine for a completely dark room indoors but I'm not sure how a PJ with such low contrast will perform outside with light pollution coming from moonlight, neighborhood lights, etc. Maybe you live in an area where neighborhood lights aren't an issue.
Resolution isnt great either. Aspect ratio is 4x3, but it IS also capable of 1080i. My PJ's native aspect ratio is 4x3 too, but it automatically detects the ratio of the signal it receives and adjusts accordingly. In other words, when I connect it to my computer, I get a 4x3 picture, when I connect it to my 1080i HD cable box, I get a 16x9 1080i picture. Not sure what your PJ will do here though.
MY OWN UNEDUCATED BOTTOM LINE: If it's in working condition, I'd say you got a good deal on a spare indoor PJ!
