I meant to do a time-lapse video on Thanksgiving of me setting up the BYT..but accidentally set my Gopro camera to video mode. So, I had to edit 40+ minutes of video to get in down to just a few minutes. And, I was home alone today and bored.....

That's a nice clip, shows how easy its done. You're not short on audio power by any stretch of the imagination. Do you find that the 15 inch woofer adds significantly to the overall feel of the system and have you compared it to just running the 2 active speakers?

I only ask as I'm prioritising my own potential upgrade.

This is the only system that I have run for my BYT so I can't compare. But i will say that this system makes the whole experience really awesome. People that come to our movie nights are just blown away and I think it's the combination of the big screen and the awesome sound. One of my neighbors has the same speaker system and we are going to daisy chain our 2 systems together for a Star Wars movie marathon weekend we have planned in a few weeks. That should be AMAZING.......

I looked at that same speaker setup for a while, but then started looking for something that I could possibly mount and leave outside all season long.  I don't think they make anything comparable to this that is geared for "outdoor" use.  I really do like your setup though.  Looks clean and easy to set up.

Looks like a really nice set up you have.  Two comments from me, the first one is everytime I see someones setup here on the forums I think to myself, these folks are all light years ahead of me technology wise.  My theater has pieces of it dating back to the 1970's.

And the second thing I think about is how I will never own a screen that needs to be setup before the show.  I think permanent screen in the way to go for simplicity sake.  I can be setup in about 10 minites.

Here is a link to my setup..

http://backyardtheater.com/forums/index.php?topic=5316.0

My setup is pernament with no setup required .I love it . All I have to do is turn power on  and am up and running

Makes it so much easier ...

If you have the room pernament is way to go
